This pack contains everything you need to take and return 2 worm count (FEC) samples for farm animals at the same time.
Suitable for sheep, goats, cattle, pigs & more.
No dogs or cats please- grazing animals only!
Can also be used for camelids such as alpacas but please see note at bottom*
 
FECs can detect the presence of various gut worms in farm animals. Coccidia oocysts are also detected in this test.
 
Testing helps to avoid giving unnecessary wormers, and help prevent the growing issue of wormer chemical resistance.
Recently given a dewormer? This test can check for resistance (14 days after worming).
 
Tests can be used on individual animals or to test a group by sending a blended sample from multiple animals. 1 test per 10 head can be sent. Animals can be chosen at random, or else targeted for being unthrifty.

*Please note that while we accept camelid samples such as alpacas and llamas, the standard technique used in these tests is the modified mcmaster technique. Camelids may benefit from a more sensitive testing technique as the standard test may not pick up low levels of parasites affecting them. We do not currently offer any camelid specific test kits.
